Day 2

I'm so excited about this I can't think straight!
It might have been better to organize and plan my approach better, but by diving into the presentation of this idea here and on facebook I'm sort of holding myself accountable in front of all the eyes that see it!
This forces me to become more active in the project.

I've never touched a Blog before but was really surprised how easy it was, so the 1st day I've already got something out of my efforts!

There has been some pretty moving interest in this and I thank those that have expressed such.

As I mentioned yesterday, the thoughts of going on this trip were already there.. yet the "buts" sort of discouraged me.
The "buts" or the obsticles that I have to overcome to make this work!

I had the huge fortune to chat with Her Excellency Michaëlle Jean (Governor General of Canada) at a very small and private function May 29th.
We spoke for about 15-20 minutes on a variety of different things.
I personally was thanking her for doing such an awesome job as the Governor General and how she will be missed.
Then she was asking me questions about myself...
in summary, the topic drifted to my dream in doing some amazing photo adventures, solo and with othere peoples with disabilities.
I want to teach others of challange to shoot and to find ways of overcoming limitations that might hold them back.

Her Excellency then said "You must do this.. you must"
As silly as it sounds I almost cried. lol
I had to look away for a sec and collect myself.
(I'm thinking to myself.... I want to too.. I NEED to... "BUT"!)

One of my mentions was a trip to the arctic and bring a team on an adventure.
A friend Bruce Kirkby (http://www.brucekirkby.com/) has really been encouraging me to do this..offering hook ups for when I was ready.
Michaëlle really expressed her love for the north and offered to connect me with a lad up there that promotes the arts in many inuit communitees.
(Statistics have shown that suicide rates dropped drastically in the communitees he's visited!)

Sooooo this all fired me up..
the meeting a couple days later that I mentioned in previous post (with Don,Bonnie and Steve) got me "activated"
