Day 9 - Quiet Shelter

Like usual I'm not sure what to write today.
I'll just start typing....

I know I’ve been going on about details and thoughts OTHER than ..”Hey everyone I’m at airport boarding the plane to Africa!” sort of thing.
This Blog involves the thoughts and circumstances that surround and influence a "choice" along with the whole process of following through with it!
I have no idea what time frame that will be. One month? Two? Who knows.
As soon as I can!
As mentioned in an earlier post, I hold myself accountable in the eyes and ears of all I share this idea with in efforts of pushing myself forward.
In a chat with a friend (Ian Brewster) we discussed this process.
We can make plans to make changes in our lives, but if we want to be held accountable we tell the world! Being held accountable to many puts your integrity at stake therefore making a stronger influence on your follow though.
You can keep it to yourself and the only one you let down is yourself, but seeing that you have to make any changes (drastic or not) in your life means that perhaps you’re not in the right place in life in the first place, because you’ve already let yourself down. Perhaps It’s even habitual to fail yourself.
I heard a song on the sat radio this morning, Jason Fowlers’ – ‘Quite Shelter’. Look it up if you care to.. it’s a beautiful song.
I used to love listening to this song while I often rode the train back and forth Ottawa-Oshawa.
It set me in such deep thought as I gazed out this big window watching the world go by.
Opportunities can be seen like that too. We gaze out of our life into a world of dreams and opportunity but there’s a huge glass like plane or barrier in between. We’re stuck on a fast track in some other direction and all these dreams and opportunities just pass on by... or should I say... we pass "them" by.
All I can say is get off the train and go after them!
Not at others expense either find a way to bring them with you. Involve them and prove dream "catching" not just a chase...can be a good thing.
Sure there’s risk! BUT... without any risk in life you can reap little reward.
I’m going against so many odds trying to follow through with this, and I want to bring as many along for the ride as I can, in desperation to prove to you all that despite odds, there is so much out there that is worth taking a risk to experience!
