Day 11 - You're only a gimp in the head Steve!

I’m going to try and chop my entries in half until I have more interesting tales to tell about almost getting eaten my lion or attacked by a tribe of monkeys!

I like doing this blog thing sometimes. Other days it’s like pulling teeth.
I think one can tell when I’m in the mood and hopefully sound encouraging... and when I’m not in mood I seem to like complaining about the market! Haha
Please understand I’m simply trying to remain disciplined in this and get over my fear of writing.
I really don't mean to go on tangets at all. I'm just speaking what's going through my mind at the given moment. I do think I have an interesting story to tell about my life for many have suggested I write a book about it.
It’s not like I climbed Mount Everest or anything but in sort I guess I have through various challenges I’ve faced in life. I just don’t feel like I’ve got any “reached the summit” stories to make it all worthwhile for a reader to finish the book with.
I’ve personally done a lot of neat things and had a lot of awesome opportunities but I guess if I haven’t quite made sense of why I’m on this earth.. I’m thinking that someone reading my story won’t either.
Lots of chaos but I have not found peace with myself, God and others.
I think that’s a nice story.. when you actually find peace with everything.
It’s the kind of story I want to (HOPE TO) tell!
I’m attaching a photo of when I was a child I had the opportunity to be “Timmy” of the Durham Region in Oshawa. This is where you’re basically the poster child representing children with disabilities. I got to meet many wonderful people (in photo the legendary Whipper Billy Watson http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whipper_Billy_Watson) and received some really nice gifts! One I still have A hockey stick autographed by all the Toronto Maple Leafs that year (Palmateer,Sittler,Salming,Butler,McDonald,Williams etc). I was in grade 6 and the envy of my class when I got picked up at school etc by police escorts to go to VIP events! ;)
And many amazing opportunities as a photographer! The Hill shot I posted previously won an international award while I walked the steps of Malak and Yousuf Karch with exclusive access to special locations to shoot from. I actually felt their ghosts and a huge responsibility to deliver something outstanding. My opportunity to cover Dalai Lama visit and shoot both him and Steven Harper in the PMO was pretty cool too!
However .. the story is still unfolding, and I feel, not quite worthy of a book yet!
I’m wondering if I should go in to detail about my disability or not... As obvious as it is.. I don’t think it’s relative other than the simple fact I have one and going on in life like I don’t have one.
It’s amazing how some have known me for so long yet have never asked me what my “problem” is... other than mentally of course! ;)
